How FUN is this!  I am so in LOVE with our Bone Appetit and More Bone Appetit stamp sets ... I had to use them!  Bone Appetit and More Bone Appetit Promo

I wanted to create a FUN and SIMPLE 'here's what we're having' kind of menu that would delight my family.  (Okay ... maybe me more than them).

Combine these two stamp sets with our Trick or Treaters (T2795) and you can do some really spook-TAC-ular things!

I had a ball coloring my images!  Stamping them on patterned paper added so much life!  I did these on white also, however, the white doesn't compare to this!

I used copic markers ... just a few ... I only have about 12 ... to color.  Then I added in highlights with my prismacolor pencils.  After coloring I took my Stardust Pen and colored over the parts of the image I wanted to 'sparkle'.  This has a GORGEOUS effect in person!

After coloring I stippled around the image with black ink.

After I attached the colored piece to the background, scalloped piece I took a Sharpie Marker and stitched around the edge.  And then I stippled around the scallops with black ink also.

To color my ghost I took a light blue Copic Marker and outlined the ghost.  Then I took my white colored pencil and colored him in.

TIP:  Use your Prismacolor White Pencil to add highlights on top of your colors and really make them pop!

I colored the skeleton the same way I colored the ghost.

Here's how I made this project:

I used a DVD metal tin that I had in my stash.  First, I constructed a 'backdrop' for my menu's.

I tried some different ideas, however, ended up embossing flourishes ... they always look good.  So does embossing!

I then attached my BLACK cardstock onto a sheet (the size of the cardstock) of thin magnet.  Next I attached the magnet to the tin.

I discovered that I HAD to have the magnet behind the cardstock ... nothing stuck without it.

Next, I made a generic cover.  No matter what I was serving I could use this with an image.

I added magnet to the back of it.

Then I made the 'meals'.

And attached magnets to the backs of each of these.

I punched out my images with my circle punch.  Colored them and then used Pop Dots to attach them to another piece of paper that I punched out with my scallop punch.

And then I put a magnet on the back.

I also use the lid of the container to store the pieces.

I think you could use any tin you like for this project!  This was so much fun to make!  And it was SIMPLE!  I can't wait to use it!

Happy Paper Crafting!
