A card in the day of May 2

Hello Everyone.  Thanks so much for stopping by Savvy Projects Blog.  It is so nice to be a guest designer here today.   So many people around me are having babies so I am in the baby card mode.  I have designed this baby card using The Angel Company stamp set  Hello Baby.  I just love this set for baby cards.  I stamped the image onto ivory cardstock with the Memento Rich Cocoa stamp pad.  I then colored with a few different mediums.  I used chalks on the giraffe body followed by Prismacolor pencils for the spots on the giraffe.  I then used Copic markers on the diaper and blanket.  After putting the card together I decided to use a flower and button for an embellishment on the front.  Although the colors are not your "normal" baby colors; it is soft and subtle and just makes an inviting card.

Here is a close up of the coloring I did on the card.  Like I said before i used a few different mediums on the coloring but I think they all blended well together.

Here is the sketch we are using this week.  Another Angel has made up tons of sketches and was so gracious to let us use them.

I hope you enjoy the card today and try out your own version of the Card Sketch that is used today.  I thank Heather Scott for all the great card sketches that are used this month.  I also want to thank Mischelle at The Angel Company for giving me the chance to share a card with all of you today.

I haven't been keeping up with my blog the way I should but feel free to go and visit and see what is there.  You never know when I will pop in and add some creations there.
