Tune in Tuesday - Kraft cards with Heather Scott
Monday, April 18, 2011
Can I just tell you all how much I LOVE Kraft cardstock? It is my all time favorite and the color I probably use the most besides White and Ivory of course! I was so happy to be able to share some cards using Kraft cradstock today as a guest designer on the TAC Savvy Projects Blog!
My favorite look with Kraft cardstock is to stamp on top of it with white ink. As you see in my first card above - it is an elegant look. I always reach for VersaMagic Cloud White because it gives a nice opaque solid look on any color - but especially on Kraft!
I embellished my card with a distressed edge on the kraft, a row of pierced dots for more texture and topped it off with a little snip of a pearl string (which you can find in the wedding/bridal section of your local craft store!).
For my next card I wanted to do a fun color combo including Kraft as a main color.
I added an accent of blush/pink and instead of ivory I went with White. I colored the cupcake with my Copics - and tried to get the look of Vanilla frosting. Looks Yummy!
Frosting: E50, E51, E57
Cherry: R35, R37
Stem: G21
Cupcake: R01, R02
Background: B00
One thing I love about Kraft is how well it accepts VersaMark ink! You get a great watermark effect when you stamp with it - and I just LOVE the dot background from the Background Soup stamp set.
For my last card I did a Monochromatic card - using Kraft, Brown and Ivory. It is a great combo for those masculine cards!
I colored the doughnut with my trust Copic's again - and was going for my FAV Cake doughnut with Chocolate frosting!
Doughnut: E50, E51, E53
Frosting: E55, E57, E59
I played around with my corner rounder, Scor-Buddy and Scor-bug to accent the card simply.
I hope you have enjoyed my take on Kraft Cards - and I hope you have a chance to play yourself and join in the fun below by adding your linky!
