... okay ... by the light of the REALLY.WHITE.MOON!

This was a concept I just wanted to play around with and look ...
I decided to  transform it into a card!  HOOTIE!
Picture
Like most of my projects ... I started with paper, stamps and a black ink pad.

I knew I wanted to do some masking ... and give this little owl some legs ...
he got his legs from the other owl in this set ... just in case you're wondering.

Picture
For some reason ... I decided to give my Twin Touch Markers a rest ...
so I colored this image with my Prismacolor Pencils ...
without a doubt ... they are one of the LOVES of my life!

After I finished coloring ... I used my Odorless Mineral Spirits and some
stumps to even out some of my coloring.

Had I known I was going to actually make this into something ...
I may have colored my night sky a bit nicer. {yikes!}

After I finished coloring I used my Gray Marker to go around my images.
Picture
After it was all colored ... and I was officially ready to move on to a new coloring project ...
I realized this still needed something.  Something HAPPY, and FUN and WHIMSICAL.
Enter my Tsukineko Iridescent Emboss Powder.

OH.MY.GOODNESS!  Don't you LOVE it with this sparkly layer of embossing!  Be still my heart!
Picture
I inked up my BRAYER with VersaMark ink and rolled it over my entire image.
I then coated my image with my Iridescent Emboss Powder and embossed it.  TA DA!

Because I had made chicken scratch marks at the top of the paper when i was coloring ...
I decided I better trim this little guy down.
I do like the white around the three edges though ... I'll definitely use
this idea for another project!
Picture
Look at that sparkly glitter goodness on the moon!
This shot really captured it!

The bat that I used for this card is from Halloween Greetings.
It is a line stamp with 4 of these bats on it.
Well ... my line now has 3 bats and 1 single bat.
It will still meet all of my creative needs perfectly.

It's true ... some things NEVER change ... like me Mischelle-ifying things.

TIP:  Look at your stamp sets and don't be afraid to mix and match the images.
In this case the bat from Halloween Greetings is a PERFECT addition to this piece!

This card has been on SO.MANY.CARD.BASES!

I just couldn't decide.  Every color of the rainbow that is in this card ...
it has sat on at one time.  It turns out I loved the clean, austere look of the white.
Picture
Add some Black Shimmer Tape and Rhinestone Embellies ... and HOOTIE!

I like it!  This card was SO.MUCH.FUN to color and create ...
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Prismacolors with this collection!

And isn't it amazing how much MASKING I do!
If you've never masked ... add it to your skill set ...
it will greatly expand your design options!

Happy Stamp of the Month Saturday ...
and thanks for stopping by.
I hope you found something to inspire you!
