So this is card #2 from the set Fabulous You. YES, I LOVE this set! In my upcoming Copic Classes {which are ALL online so YOU can participate} we'll be coloring this image and the other little birdie image in this set {plus even more}!

If you've seen the CTMH catalog you probably recognize this layout ... you know me ... I didn't reinvent the wheel! I used one of the AWESOME sketches they provide to make our creating faster, simpler and easier!

Do you see it now???! I'm NOT a professional at following sketches but I think I'm going to quickly become one. Talk about making things SO much easier! YES!

So ... here's the card layout in progress and I'm like Holy Cow! That blue flower is GORGEOUS ... but not on this card. {It's okay ... you can think it too!} Not just the blue flowers ... the entire image is a bit too vibrant for Ivy Lane ... I'll handle this in my upcoming Copic classes!

One last close up of the blue ... don't worry ... we'll re-create it in the Copic Class coming up in March!

TA-DA! I toned it down. Yes ... I LOVED the brighter blue but come on ... you KNOW this carded needed a more subtle tone! So I took my E00 or perhaps it was E000 Copic and went right over the petals. It's so powerful it REALLY took color away!

And then I embellished ... gently.

I have to say ... for my first attempt at coloring these images ... I'm kind of excited! I can't wait to see how well we do in the March Copic Classes! Here ... on THIS blog! {smiles} And have I mentioned how much I LOVE this set? I LOVE this set!
