Sponge Daubers:  Basic Shading

I LOVE this page from the new CTMH catty ... especially that black thing hanging on the wall with all of those colored circles in it!  It seems no one can guess what those little guys are back there ... which makes it really fun for me!  {smiles}

As much as I love a good secret ... I'm going to let you in on this one ... those are SPONGE DAUBERS and they are in the Foam Sponge Dauber Insert for the storage tray.  Not only do these make a beautiful display ... they're pretty handy also!

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Stamped Image
  • Ink Pad
  • Sponge Dauber

Here's How:

Prepare your piece for sponging ... do any stamping first.

A Sponge Dauber is just like a thimble except it goes over your index finger. Put it on and dab it in your ink.

Before you begin shading ... dab your dauber on a scrap piece of paper 1 or 2 times and then gently begin shading around the edges of your cardstock.

Sponge Daubers are a great tool to use for shading ... give them a try!
